Friday Short: Chuseok Signoff

Ladies in gentlemen, in 1 hour and 20 minutes, I will be on my way to a five day weekend. Why such a long weekend, you ask?

This Sunday is Chuseok, or sometimes called “Korean Thanksgiving” by foreigners (as a result of the holiday, I will have until October 3rd off from school). It is a holiday where families return home to pay respects to their ancestors and is considered one of the most important days of the year. Also, like an good holiday, there is plenty of food involved.  You can read more about Chuseok here.

I’m excited, as this will be my first Chuseok. I’m not quite sure what to expect, but I know there will be food and music in my house on Sunday.

As a result, I will be signing off until after the holiday. Be sure to stay tuned!

Geon bae until Monday (or Tuesday) and Happy Chuseok,

Sarah
